When we refer the term "cyber crime" or "cyber threat" we generally mean hackers, internet fraud, scamming, phishing and at the most child pornography. While this are not minor issues at all they still are considered less damaging than being able to kill hundreds of people with help of a fingertip. The thought of being able to explode a ship, an airplane or destroy a nation with not a tank or bomb but a little alteration to the host system. What about alter the amusement park programs to self destruct when it is full with people? Cyber war is a hard reality. And it no longer is hypothetical question to be answered in the future. It really is starting to happen. This videos has been very informative. It means there are some people who are thinking about the impact. But what about trying to come up with a solution to mitigate that problem? I think it is a very serious matter for all nations to come up with laws regarding this matter. It is not the time to say "we will think about it when it happens" because then damage would too drastic and it would be too late

I think cyber attacks are overlooked when it comes to war time scenarios. Stuxnet was a great example of how viruses can be used to bring down a physical yet very critical item. The many holes we have in our electricity grid in general, if breached can cripple us. All it takes is for someone to take control of our satellites as well as electricity grid and all sorts of communications would be rendered useless. This should be the #1 list of concern with a new cyber age and other areas of cyber warfare should be researched to better prepare.

Good time to watch this video with all of the speculation/investigations about Russia interfering with the 2016 election results. I can't imagine that any of the actions they described in the video wouldn't be classified as a cyber crime...that seems pretty cut and dry to me. Figuring out who should be blamed is definitely a more nuanced issue. It's scary to think about the atrocities that took place in the world's history before things were specified as hate crimes. Hopefully this time the law will be ahead of the cyber war crime.
