As most comments I have read this is an excellent promotional video for recruiting other airman into the field or as a general recruiting video for civilians. It is important to note how this video does highlight the importance of Cyber Warfare has become for the military as a whole. It seems the military was behind the power curve of cyber warfare and how it can be used on a grander scale in warfare until these past few years. This video shows how the Air Force seems to have established great training for their service members, where the it does not show how the other Services such as the Army or Navy are training their people on cyber. The Army over the past two years has established and is actively recruiting their own cyber specialist known as 17 series. I believe this has only lifted off the ground in 2014, which sounds to me the Army was behind the ball, but shows how the Army is creating their own cyber warriors to defend the networks. It would have been interesting if this video showed how the rest of the Armed Forces where training its members, or at least highlight if there was any joint positions where the Air Force was working besides other services in the Combatant Commands. Overall, this video did a good job on showing the importance of cyber warfare has become to ensuring our nation is defending against attacks and ensuring the boots on the ground personnel are getting every advantage they can get.

From what I understand this 9 week school seems to basically train the airmen to test network security. They don't get very specific but when they get to their unit they appear to be testing their network to make sure its secure. I would love to know how long the average gradate of that school stays in the airfare after getting their diploma and certifications. I would wager it is very tempting to get a lucrative civilian job. Side note: I am assuming the scene set at their new unit is all fake. All those screens of code scrolling in the background couldn't possible something they would post on YouTube if it was actual mission specific info.

I wonder how much their training covers in redundancy in relation to people who have a B.S or M.S in Computer Science or Information Technology. If not, there cyber security center must very proprietary and secure from the outside world which is a good thing. I would imagine once someone graduates from college, then finishes the government's cyber security training program, one could be mentally exhausted for a while.

Good video...have gotten to see first hand the Coast Guard Cyber folks at NSA and at our Crypto unit in Texas...I didnt see anything about Offensive Cyber-warfare or Forensics...wonder if they teach Offensive Cyber and/or forensics? It is very interesting to see what NSA is doing from an Offensive Cyber-warfare perspective....one of the hardest things for us is keeping folks in the CG once their contract is up...we send them to all kinds of civilian training, e.g. SANS, and they soon realize they can take their skills out to the civilian sector and make way more money...I'm sure the AF has the same issues...
