dbegumat September 22,2016 This video definitely makes you want to be in their shoe so you can learn all of those specialized techniques. Students get access to unclassified data that’s they get to play with to solve cases. I know I would love to do this for ever because I love troubleshooting especially when it becomes a challenge. The interesting part is, after nine months of training, they are placed into the real world. Though the job seems very tough especially when you could potentially bypass a threat however, because the teams are working together, you could help each other find that threat to kill. The process of obtaining the certification may seem tedious but the outcome afterwards is all worth working hard for.
asdfaslkjadsfasdasdfasat September 27,2016 Well it's very clear they aren't spending a ton on production of promotional videos yet. I really hope that the training is as top notch as claimed in this pr piece. The taxpayer really needs to understand how immediate the threat of a major cyber attack effecting all Americans and support congress throwing a ton of funding into bolstering our defenses. Top grads from MIT, Stanford, and CMU should be recruited and paid by the USG to defend the US on the cyber front.
kbacon5at November 04,2016 This video showed how there are a lot of unique and exciting opportunities in digital forensics related to cyber warfare. As ronaldjgrafjr said the threat of a major cyber attack needs to be understood by all so more support is put into our defenses. It does seem like a tough job, but it is good to know so many passionate people are getting the expertise necessary to help in the fight against cyber war.
jgalaat November 06,2016 This video shows how to handle the cyberwarfare in real time by training a whole squad for incident response along with intel gathering which is really helpful for future strategic planning on curbing out attacks to launching newer attacks if any.
But SANS is really helping out individuals to learn forensics in an excellent environment with the help of live training to self study guides.
As a forensic analyst or examiner we must be able to handle incidents & respond accordingly to prevent loss of data.
BBurgessat November 14,2016 When I was in the military, I wish I had a place like the 39th to where I could have attended and learned the cyber incident response techniques used in todays world. It make me feel reassured that we have professionals working day in and day out on keeping our militaries networks safe from attacks. Cyber warfare is very quickly going to become more damaging and costly that traditional warfare. EVERYDAY in our country our military, government and civilian organizations are being attacked in one way or another, and the quicker we can address our deficiencies, and secure our vulnerabilities, the better off we will be. In my opinion, it is only a matter of time before we become victim that a sophisticated and complex cyber attack, from either a nation state or international cyber gang/organization. Will we be ready?
