It will always be a balance between freedom and security. Finding that balance will always be difficult. Cyber will always outpace laws and policy.

Deep web is really shocking and full of different kind of people. But dark web is also a pool of information. Lots of people having great knowledge can be found in dark wen and you can learn a lot of things. But now a days dark web is the meeting place for criminals. You can hire criminals without disclosing your identity. You can buy anything illegal etc.

It is quite interesting that electronic privacy both enables freedom of speech but also actions that most humans find reprehensible. What really strikes me about the darknet marketplaces such as Silk Road is that the purchasing and sale of illegal goods is so open. The advertisement of the forged documents, for example, isn't even trying to present itself as "Secure Documentation" or another term. It seems very clear that those who engage in transactions on these sites are knowingly committing illegal acts. Another interesting thing I noted was regarding the gun salesman in Germany. He was motivated to sell on dark markets because of the prospect of making lots of money. However, he did not sell a gun to a prospective customer who wanted to know about murder. I am sure that comment would not have deterred other sellers from this customer, but it's interesting to observe that money did not drive all sales decisions.

I have heard of DarkNet before but this video really put things into perspective. The guy asking how to sedate a 7 year old and no one questioning his motives was extra disturbing...but I guess the kind of people browsing these sites aren't too concerned. The server being used for activists in countries whose free speech is opressed is definitely a double edged sword. It's a good thing that these people are able to speak freely and fight against the government that is opressing them, but it's awful that the server is also being used to conceal criminal activity. With all the protests going on in our country at this time, this was an interesting time to watch this video and see how other countries operate.
