It would be interesting to see this technology used to masquerade as other things. Its like a sophisticated "bait car" for dirty pervs. They need them to lure other nefarious characters also.

Great technology to track down pedophiles but you don't think that we should start changing inside our homes. Why don't we sit with our children to tell them what is right and wrong. Why do we give our children the full access to the internet. Isn't that a big problem? They are our responsibility and we can't stop this phenomenon if we did't take some actions into our home first. 10 years old kid can't realize what he/she is doing if their parents won't guide him/her along their life.

It’s hard and disgusting that there are so many child predators on the Internet that are actively trying to contact children. It was a pretty good idea for Terre Des Hommes to create an online avatar to try to trick child predators to chat with it. It’s scary that they were contacted by over 1000 child predators. Law enforcement and other agencies should improve on the idea of Sweetie and use it to catch and prosecute other child predators.

A very novel idea, going beyond the usual method of just having an investigator pretend via chat to be a minor. But if you go to the youtube channel for this organization they had no posts for almost two years until about two months ago. And I could only find one mention of anyone being convicted as a result of the information collected. I have many issues with public shaming over the internet, since mob action in any form can have real downsides especially if it is mistakenly aimed at the wrong people, but I have to wonder why nothing has happened to these 1,000 people who they found. I wish we knew more about why prosecution seems to be so ineffective, if it's the way the laws are written, or an issue with the law enforcement agencies not making this a priority, or not having the resources to make proper cases.

Hard video to watch. It is awful to think about how prevalent this is. However, it is good to see people working to fight against this sort of exploitation. Also, it would have been interesting to know what Interpol did with the names.
