This sounds like a very useful tool. It’s never a good idea to wait for an attack to find out what your system’s vulnerabilities are. Being proactive in finding out your vulnerabilities will definitely save your company or organization some money down the road by stopping potential attacks. The price for the full version seems a little over the top though. If I’m going to be paying $5,000 a year for a license of this software then it better be worth it. I hope it adds more than just a really good user interface.

While I would only consider myself a basic user of Metasploit, I feel this video jumps around a little bit and is not very focused. I think this should really be called an intro to Metasploit and focus more on some of the Metasploit specific terms like msfconsole etc. While the refresher on exploits, shell code, payloads are nice I feel it would be better suited to provide an overview on those terms in a separate video and cover more Metasploit specific terms in this one. Maybe cover more in depth things like meterpreter and how you interact with the framework. Additionally while I understand the need to appeal to mass audiences, having a GUI is just a nice to have feature and shouldn't be a requirement for tools like this.

It's nice to have this software working on Windows, cuz I don't Linux that much. What is really cool about this software the fact that you ccan create whatever hacking technique according to what you need.
BTW: We all love free stuff ::)

Metasploit Pro's smart exploitation function is great if you want to get a session quickly and don't care about being noisy on the network, and you can use more than just one exploit

Eli the computer guy is pretty entertaining to watch. He has the ability to present complex or technical material in a fairly simple and straightforward way. Although I understand the basic concepts of penetration testing and the attack lifecycle, I don't have any practical pen testing experience. Eli has a manner of breaking down subjects in a manner that makes me feel comfortable enough to tackle new subjects. I learned a few things in this basic metasploit overview.
