It's assuring knowing that these criminals are actively pursued when discovered.

That’s interesting but it is very true. You didn’t hear much about these cyber crimes, despite how lucrative they were for the criminals. I am sure things like this happen all the time. I have a mentor who has a lot of experience working in the field of Computer Forensics and he mentioned that as these crimes become more fluent in the media, more and more organizations and companies are going to want to protect their information. Essentially, every time you hear about someone hacking Sony, or someone hacking Target, etc… that’s more advertisement for the Computer Forensics sector.

This video emphasized how important and challenging protecting personnel information is. We just have to look at the OPM data breach to confirm the consequences of a major breach. Gonzales was able to infiltrate a number of systems to his financial advantage until he became overly greedy, as the video pointed out. Once this occurred, attention was focused on him and more time and effort was spent trying to catch him.

Financial institutions are always in trouble and are in need of hackers to protect their networks. A hacker can only protect them from a hacker.

That was a huge number. I'am wondering about the compensation for the credits holders, if their money vanished away. This is crazy, and 20 years for him is not enough, people die to afford money for their families and then bad people like him think that's easy and in an instant they steel their hard work.
