I'm not surprised. Law-enforcement does not need to tell us or the criminals about big cases. Credit card companies are getting pretty good at telling you when your card is compromised and that's what's important to the cardholder.

The most surprising part of this video was not the number of credit cards that he stole but the fact that it was not national news when he got caught. It's interesting to compare bank hacks to major store hacks like Target and Neiman Marcus. You can tell that the banks have control over the narrative and news coverage where major chains do not.
I had an internship at a bank doing information security and the regulations are very strict, but it's impossible to keep up with hackers whose singular goal is to hack the system.
