BSharmaat April 29,2017 This is another example of the end points that are not secure that are the access points for hackers. This resembles the hacking of target where the end point was where the hacker got in. This also highlights why we should have secure VPNs for banks and other high profile corporations, prevent hackers from infiltrating one end point to get to the corporate servers.
sstumvollat April 29,2017 Its incredible to think that the hacker can do his crime from his car without entering a business but it is also incredible that the US government has the resources available and the knowhow to stop people like Gonzales. The video is also interesting in that most large scale cybercrimes are not reported on to protect the integrity of businesses.
tritran42at April 30,2017 Financial constitution becomes a target of many hackers. With sophisticate skills, the hacker can pass by the encryption and steal the fund. The average loss that associate with cyber loss is 1.3 millions which are really high compared to physical bank rob is 6.8 thousands. One of the examples was the biggest fraud in 2005 at Miami where Albert Gonzalez was fishing the credit cards number. He broke into the retail stores and got back to the corporate database. He downloaded 10 of thousands customer credit cards and sold them Eastern European cyber criminal. In the first year, he got 11.2 million after that it became 90 million. He has accessed to over 43 million stolen credit cards. Finally, he jailed for 20 years. Gonzales’s case reminds me to even though how sophisticated you can be, you still leaves the evident and get caught.
Wangjaat May 04,2017 Armed bank robbery success rate is 80%; you don't hear aboot it because a statistic like that only encourages others. That is probably also why computer crimes are often swept under the rug. It is baffling how institutions can lose so much & still remain in business.
mghadbanat May 11,2017 This person reminded me of Frank Abagnale, Jr. (Leonardo DiCaprio) in Catch if You Can movie. There is always the possibility to use this person's mastermind for the good, also just like the movie.
