I really like this video. It displays the screen that allow me to follow the instruction and sees how the Ransomware runs on computer. It is very important to check the file extension before you open it. People can hide their secret documents, which we covered in class already, and also can hide malware, that can destroy or do bad things to documents and your computer. Do keep a good and updated antivirus software in your computer would help to minimize this situation. I actually have seen the last word document as an encrypted file, and I understand now why it shows as a messy code.

Wow -that's pretty messed up. This ever pops up on my computer I'd probably lose my mind. This was very simple to implement and definitely a very effective "evil" tool against anyone.

It steals your own information and asks money to permit you to gain the access to it. This is horrible. Executing exe files hidden under various different formatted files is seriously dangerous.

This video really shows what some malware is capable of. It was simple enough and a threat I believe many people would fall for.

In response to DPerry - it really is nasty we've had a couple of cases at places were I've been and there's no recovering stuff most of the time. Worse if the user is logged into some network shares and it gets those to.
