Smart phones are a fantastic invention. It is impressive how prevalent they are in the market. I use my phone more and more, and generally speaking, they are increasingly used for financial interactions. Part of why I think phishing techniques are so effective with these devices is the user population is not aware of the security threat. We still think of these devices as phones (not computers), so while a typical user may know to install anti-virus on their computer, they may not even think to install it on their smart phone.

I like this type of delivery better than the normal stage, screen, and power point. It gives the mind and eyes a change. I found it easier to retain and become more interested in the subject matter with this delivery. He is correct. Criminals are getting much much better with technology. We have to get better at being more secure in our day to day lives if we want to protect ourselves and our families. Our mobile devices can be massive headaches or extreme joy. You can pick.

I like that some operating systems by default only allow signed applications to be used. I'm curious how criminals will find a way past this via obfuscation or something else.

Nobody can say that smart phones couldn't provide the ease of life for many of us. But some people deal with the information on their devices as it's okay if it is hacked, when it happen, they start to say it's the security and the phones applications' fault.
I know it relates in away to them, but also it relates to the way people deals with their information.
Even when using any other mobile device other than smart phones, they need to be secured with the required applications.

Our mobile phones have become a place that houses a lot of personal information. It's similar to having all of your keys on one ring. I have had information compromised several times. Enough for me to want to take all of the precautions that were mentioned in the video to secure my phone. Using a password, downloading apps from the app store and not links, and I also protect my sensitive information on my phone with double passwords as well. Banking apps are definitely protected with a password. Sometimes when they're installed, they will ask if I want an automatic log in and that's an immediate no from me. Be careful with your information everyone!
