Silk Road and the online drugs trade - Truthloader Investigates
ronnypaladinoat July 16,2016 That's scary. There was an European "Security" Company that had placed an ad one time offering this type of service. The ad was focused on gaining edge over other companies, etc.. I am not sure if they exist anymore. As far as all the risks out there, it's hard to stay secure, just adhering to security policies is the first step. Most of these are taking advantage of the human factor (ie clicking on unknown files, etc).
jdg8at July 26,2016 As I have studied how many cyber criminals are heavily organized, sometimes I am still flabbergasted at how big of a business the industry has become. The host in the video described many of the business 101 concepts these cyber criminal organizations implement into their infrastructure. Just the other day I read something about how ransomware organizations set up customer service hotlines for the victims they attack if the victims cannot pay the ransom fee. The audacity .......
Modasiyaat July 28,2016 So true, most of the wrong things happen because we ignore the basic safety precautions while using our electronic communication devices. His demos were related to very common hacks but surely gives a picture of how a malware works.
asdfaslkjadsfasdasdfasat October 11,2016 Great TED talk, I really liked the fact that he explained all of the things we never think about that we do every day that give cyber criminals treasure troves of data.
kbacon5at November 05,2016 I thought this presenter was really funny and made good points. I think self deprecating humor is so much better whereas so many people try to make fun of other people when they are giving talks and trying to be funny. He brought up good points but was not mean about it. I think it is good to be cautious about a lot of the things he mentioned and he was smart to encourage people just start by doing the basics to protect ourselves. Very entertaining and informative video.
