“Our friends, our families and our colleagues can break our security even when we do the right things.” I think this is the most important point in the video. If we were in the insecurity environment, it is quite hard to protect our information from leaking. When we pursuit the convenience, we trade off the security. Just like the Russian hacker group, they uploaded the photos without clear the GPS coordinates in exif data, which finally compromised all the efforts they made to keep anonymous. As the same, our tiniest negligence could be utilized by hackers. That’s why everyone should try their best to apply the security rule in daily life other than just rely on some specific security software or techniques.

I believe the majority of people doesn't even know anything about malware and internet viruses. Why don't we make Awareness conferences about how you can secure yourself from cybercriminals. This will give the users a basic knowledge about what criminals aims to do. By the way it won't %100 protect them but it may reduce the chance of attacking.

This was a very good video on the basics of cyber security. One aspect of the video I enjoyed a lot was when the presenter mentioned that often security professional could be compromised or social engineered through their friends, which is completely true. When ever I try to lookup an IT security friend for the first via Facebook or LinkedIn often I will need to first find that persons girlfriend/boyfriend or family member first. Another interesting part of the video was the mention of devices broadcasting Wifi spot names. It is always surprising how much information you can get based on the wifi names a persons phone is broadcasting.

I really liked his point about how users are becoming more tech-savvy, but not necessarily more aware of what's going on "under the covers." Many, if not most, people just want things to work without having to understand how those things work. I get that, but it does really make people vulnerable to those who take the time to understand the technical aspects. The internet of things is just going to amplify the gap between normal and power users.

This video too is an eye opener.Very interesting. 250000 pieces of malware viruses a day is huge. I am wondering if all these criminal acts are know, how are they allow to grow. Wow, What should we do to prevent this?
