Drone attacks seem impractical. Wouldn't a person notice from sound or sight that a drone is hovering near or around them? I feel as if that's not as conspicuous as it might sound. Does the drone need to be within a certain visible range to extract data? If so couldn't a person simply move out of site of the drone?

I disagree with the previous comment. Drone attacks are VERY practical. Nobody will see or hear the drone when it is high enough in the air. Personally, I have multiple drones, and I know how easy it is to lose track of the craft after going higher than 100-150ft in the air. This is still within the FAA legal regulations to stay under 250ft. The technology is so sophisticated now and continues to evolve. You can create missions and send your drone to specific locations, and specify its course to come back, without leaving the house. Most drones can carry enough weight so a Raspberry Pi or other small computer device can be attached. This makes is super easy to automate attacks like they mentioned in the video, even with using a consumer grade aircrafts.

I think as new technologies emerge we will have to take a deeper dive into security. You have things such as IoT, cloud, virtualization all around us now. You even have things such as Google Home or Amazon Echo that get a footprint of what is going inside your household. These items could potentially be sending back your personal data or even recordings. With everything connected over the internet now you must be weary of what you do/say/post. As long as we keep moving forward in technology the threats will only increase more, the only thing you can do is to try and protect yourself against it and have a disaster recovery plan in place.

There will always be someone who can find a way with every new technology coming up. Cyber defense is very critical. Cyber attacks are a means of conducting attacks by terrorist organisations as well. There are ways our information breach happens through devices equipped with camera. I have heard organisations instructing employees to cover their office laptop cameras too.
