it's amaizing how they steel credit card information just like that with a device and a very simple software i think there is too many of those thieves out there, we just have to be careful about where we swipe our cards and where we use them at.

Very informative video and very scary. The guy made $300 in an hour just from skimming credit card information. What kills me is the stores that don't bother to check your ID to make sure you are the individual on the card. I put check my ID on all my cards and only half the stores will ask for my ID. You hear stories all the time about waite staff stealing diner's credit card information using skimmers. They're small and it's relatively easy. The guy in the video points out he hasn't been caught because he only uses the card 3 to 4 times before tossing it and going with another individual's credit card information. I really hope this guy does get caught. Try working for a living like the rest of the people you're ripping off do.

Having been the victim of identity theft, always good to learn more about the egregious human beings engaged in this activity. The criminal in this video appears to be an amateur, cannot focus, making simple absent minded mistakes, and revealing his identity to an outsider. The real bad guys out there are the ones on the Dark Web hosting sites like the Shadowcrew, Carders Market, and the DarkMarket. All of which were engaged personal information theft selling equipment and personal information like the equipment used in the video. They went by online aliases and remained anonymous for years. Eventually they arrested most of the perpetrators. It was also discovered that one of those sites, DarkMarket, was also used by law enforcement as a vector to infiltrate the Dark Web. Technology today makes it even easier to obfuscate this type of activity. Scary stuff.

This was really interesting, and I'm surprised that anyone agreed to be video taped. I kind of wonder though if this particular time was illegal, since the thief was authorized to make this particular purchase.

Financial institutions make a lot of money from us. I wonder why they do not improve their plastic cards. I mean, they have the money to put better security on these cards, so they protect their clients, us. It sounds ridiculous the way how this guy just uses these regular devices to do some money. Also, it shows deficient securities around these plastic transactions.
