This is an interesting video about online criminal market places. Criminals are using computers to buy and sell services and products. For instance, they go on drugs, laundering money, stolen credit cards, pirated software, fake passports and licenses, and even contracting a hit-man,. The list is huge. They also use specific software to do this like Tor (communication), and Bit-coin (Transactions). However, FBI agencies are trained to go through these criminals. Indeed, these investigations consume a lot of time and resources, but at last they are caught.

The Silk Road was an online criminal entity, that took a long time to take down. The fact that the network used Tor was very smart. Its interesting that he was this careless using his real name. If he hadn't, the silk road might still exist.

the key element of this video is that you can't track a criminal who is using tor, that guy who invented silk road was very smart using the tor network, put the only problem he was not protective enough to hide his identity, but at the end of the day he invented something new That gave the FBI a hard time to find him.so now he opens the road for hackers to use the same method of having a n internet black market.but the good thing is that the police have developed a good knowledge about these kind of crime.i like the video tho it was very well made up.

Interesting layout of the Silk Road, how it was created, what was sold on it and how the FBI caught DPR and shut it down. Shows that the Silk Road used Tor and bitcoins to keep the players anonymous. I would be interested in knowing if they caught any of the users. Sure they shut down Silk Road, but another will takes its place. Criminals are always going to find a way to conduct business anonymously. At the end an interesting point was brought up, the FBI spent two years and millions to shut down the Silk Road and another hacker can probably set up a similar black market in a day or two.

Interesting video. I really enjoyed listening how law enforcement pieced it all together. I could not help but think as the narrator spoke about the different clues about how much of an amateur the owner of Silk Road was. He left so many bread crumbs for investigators that eventually led to his demise. I wonder too, if the $150K DPR paid to Redandwhite was really Friendlychemist scamming DPR. Regardless, I am glad DPR was careless enough to get caught. Who knows how many innocent lives were affected by the $1.2 Billion dollars of nefarious activities traded on Silk Road.
