DEF CON 21 - Unexpected Stories From a Hacker Inside the Government
gcorkerat December 07,2015 I liked how this video went through how the case was built. It is interesting how a lot of minor details and clues were gathered in order to form one cohesive picture. However, there also were some details left out – like who was his partner? How did the FBI gain the image of the Silk Road server?
hhoang5at December 10,2015 This videos shows how just a small trace left by the criminal on a forum can lead to his downfall years later. In the age of the Internet, even the smallest lead can lead to a big discovery on the identity of Silk Road's owner.
busterhaxat December 10,2015 They will always find a better way. Shortly after the first silk road's demise, a second one sprung into action.
fsyed3at December 17,2015 Absolutely insane that they reported 1.2 BILLION dollars in revenue. The fact that this infrastructure was set up globally....I guess we can't be surprised.
fpazdzinat February 04,2016 I’m sure that the law enforcement followed all of their standard operating procedures for finding DPR but that isn’t good enough for the fast changing cyber world. Things move so quickly in cyberspace that they need to update their procedures for investigating these sites. I doubt that they will ever be able to completely get rid of all the silk roads out there but they definitely need to complete their investigations a lot quicker than 2 years.
