DEF CON 22 - Weaponizing Your Pets: The War Kitteh and the Denial of Service Dog
mjacobat May 07,2015 Another interesting video about the Darknet and Silk Road. I'm amazed how careless the person in the video was about purchasing drugs off of the silk road.
kkrishnaat June 22,2015 Wow, I didn't know much about this. Obviously, the war on drugs has been quite controversial and hasn't really been effective. I think that this video really illustrates that. People who want drugs will find ways to get them and go to great lengths to protect their anonymity. It makes it difficult for the authorities to stop this. Obviously, this whole system is based off of trust and the customer has no idea if the seller is telling the truth.
mrgodfrey3at June 26,2015 All these idiots should be locked up in jail. Society has rules. The Silk Road case shows that you can't hide for long behind some Tor bowser.
pseagrenat July 02,2015 The Silk Road marketplace did top the illegal Dark Net sites until it collapsed. I enjoyed watching how the guy made it sound like Silk Road was a good website that was helping people out. He even said it was safer than buying on the street, which is only true to a certain point. No matter how you phrase it, illegal drugs are illegal for a reason. Whether a person agrees with the laws or not, it is still the law. With that said, these sites still exists and are readily available today. As nbodyk stated, the demand side of the market has to be addressed because a supply of anything will always try to match the demands.
Emmereetat July 03,2015 This video brought up few different points on the safety and trustworthiness on buying illegal drugs from sites like Silk Road instead of buying them off the streets. Not sure if I really agree with this view point but it was interesting to hear them trying to justify their illegal actions. Quite ridiculous!
