Another interesting video about the Silk Road and illicit drugs on the dark web. The presentation did seem a bit contradictory though; while interviewing Adam Kokesh he mentions that the vendor rating system fixes the accountability issue with buying black market items. However later in the video they tell the story of a highly trusted seller who took the money and ran without delivering the goods that were ordered. It seems you get what you expect on the dark web; a little bit of everything from all walks of life. Caveat Emptor.

Interesting how people are trying to put a positive twist on something that is highly illegal and DANGEROUS. Just say no to drugs, people. They briefly hit on a huge problem with this--the ability for minors to get their hands on this stuff OR an easy supply stream that then can be sold in schools or wherever. It is just highly irresponsible and I hope they get taken down.

i don't think this is a surprise to anyone because drug dealers are just like computer hackers, They think every minute on ways and means to sell their drugs. If they can use poor kids in school to sell their drugs, what is difficult in selling their drugs over the internet when almost everything is sold online now. But this is where I think the law enforcement should work hand in hand with the postal services. They suppose to have scanners to scan every envelop or package that comes through them. Just a thought

I think it is very interesting that the user spoke about accountability. I don’t think comments/ratings count as accountability at all. You may have an idea of someone’s reputation, potentially making it slightly safer than buying a drug on the street. However, there are no real consequences for someone who sells a bad product unless they are caught by law enforcement.

Silk Road - ebay for Illegitimate world. The illegitimate world has services to ensure a legitimate process of an illegitimate deal. Amazing
