Fear does not permit you think with clarity. This video shows you why geeks from all over the world meet in this big party named DEFCON. This documentary explains you from where comes the DEFCON convention. The idea born in 1993. I love the part when a guy say “Geek mentality works to make things work better that’s it” don’t be afraid of it.

Interesting history of DEF CON. I wonder if the organizers of Platinum Net ever decided to say they started it. Anyway interesting that DEF CON 1 was a going away party for Platinum Net and that after it ended people wanted to know when the next one was. People are social and like to get together to talk about topics they have a common interest in. Then of course, people like to brag about their accomplishments and what better place then a convention of people doing the same profession or hobby. The rules were funny, must get at least three hours of sleep a day, use deodorant, take one shower a day, eat at least two meals. There's obviously a reason for putting those out.

I love the fact that events like DefCon exist. The creativity that blossoms from this event, and similar events, makes me strive to excel in my own search for wisdom. I thought the lock-picking/tamper tape events looked pretty cool. Great motivational video, in a weird quirky way.
