mjacobat May 07,2015 Another great video from the DefCon security conference. Can’t wait to hear what this guy’s next idea is. Great presenter and neat idea.
pseagrenat July 02,2015 This was a great presentation from a new guest’s speaker at DEFCCON 22 who covered the basics of creating pen testing hardware and using animals to deploy the hardware. For the collar, he basically did the same thing Google does (or a linux CD) except with a very small form factor so you don’t have to drive around in a car for hours on in. The second project I enjoyed much better as that is less common and again he designed it to be very portable.
tshafiat November 15,2015 Very humorous, it is great when someone has so much knowledge that they can add humor to their presentations. Recon-cat, sounds like something out of an old “Get Smart” rerun. He showed great examples of animals already serving functions in the military and science, and a great point about the difficulty regarding working with cats. I’m going to do some research into WiGLE WiFi for kicks, not to mention all the other things he did that would make great experiments. I wonder if I can make something for my child so I can monitor him in school (hmmm). I think Gene’s drinking buddies must all be geniuses. This presentation was very thorough, humorous, and educational. I was very inspired by it. I completely agree regarding soldering big time, and I can imagine all the hands going up on the question “Who knows how to solder?” and then all the hands going down on “and likes it?” Having done lots of coding and no chip coding, this is a very interesting video for me. This guy’s a hard worker with admirable tenacity.
klloyd6at November 19,2015 I have heard about Arduino technology so it was interesting watching this implementation. I thought he did a pretty hilarious job presenting his experiment. Though I didn't know the technology side of it he made it entertaining. It's funny because this is how our whereabouts can be tracked as we lug around our mobile devices.
zsesayat November 27,2015 I like the video, it is very interesting when he was referring to the cats and technology. Nice to know how GPS has a sophisticated chip. Despite I kind of know how it is made, but never had been able to see it's chip. Great and funny video especially with his rules
