millions of people around the world have a smartphone that they use for different online purposes including mobile banking, accessing social media and other online services. Apparently, hacking of these devices has escalated and they can be easily hacked like a computer. Using new technologies and software cybercriminals penetrate mobile systems and gain illegal access to the user’s private data such as financial information. Therefore, antiviral software is a necessity for mobile phone users.

It is easy for cybercriminals to use software to remotely access cellphones and other mobile devices. The spy software can allow cybercriminals to read text messages sent from a target mobile device and sometimes even listen in to actual phone conversations.

I completely agree with @Kalbuainain. The amount of use we have for our smartphones has increased in the number of years. We do use it for online banking, businesses, social networking, mail, and many more things. The more that has risen the more of hacking smartphone devices has as well. Like @Kalibuainain has said antiviral software is very important to be put in our phones. The amount of apps we download 1 out of who knows many can be the one that controls your phone. Another video I watched on this site showed a user installed an app and the attacker received all his text messages and phone calls. There is no difference between the hacking of a comp. to a smartphone device. Both can easily be hacked into and info. gained. Therefore people should be as much as careful phones to, if they want to keep there data safe and secure.

I do think it is important for us to understand how easy it is for people to listen in on our phone calls, because it does happen and we need to be aware of it. This video though, was very drawn out, and hard to follow.
