Hadn't heard of the default password lowest denomination attack before, where you trick the ATM into thinking it's giving you 5's when it's actually giving you 20's or something lack that. This guy makes it sound easy, but the knowledge of code and applications to pull this off has to crazy, not to mention the tenacity to figure all this out.
ATMs using dial-up and remote access this is pretty crazy, if more people figured this out or marketed this you would think this would be a cause of concern for banks. It's cool how he made Dillinger and Scrooge to exploit the machine. This was actually a really good talk the presenter had the right amount of humor and it was technically interesting.

These machines can be hacked. This guy does a very nice explanation about exploitations on them. Using a debugger card, it can be hacked. Possible points to hack could be card reader slots, network points, keyboard, USB. Remote firmware updates, or remote monitoring enabled by default. These two features can get access to them.

I hope everyone has already heard about ATM skimmers by now. They're a common way to steal your name, account number, and PIN to your account. And who can forget footage seen on the news of people running their trucks through store fronts and stealing the ATM outright. I found the explosives attack interesting, it's kind of stupid. If you're going to steal the thing, you'd think you'd use a different method other than blowing it up to get to the money. Interesting video on how to hack an ATM machine.

DEFCON Presenters make it sound so easy . This guy had a real ATM at his place so he can figure all this out.
