Nice open source mobile forensics distro. Appears to be easy to incorporate into your own linux disto and fairly simple to use. I want to get into mobile forensics more and using a distro like this can help me do a lot. Like the slide they showed, mobile devices are becoming more and more prevalent and where all technology is going. Good video, I enjoyed it.

Mobile device forensics is definitely the wave of the future. I do not know the ratio of mobile devices to laptops/desktops, but I imagine it is growing rapidly. It is necessary for forensics examiners to learn how to use tools to parse/peruse data from Android and iPhone/iOS devices. It seems that the amount of specialized software available for mobile device forensics is small and either esoteric to use or expensive. I am curious to see development of mobile device forensics that is easily available and easy to use by the average computer forensic examiner.

Great presentation. A good intro into the mobile forensics process. I found it enlightening how each type of platform; android, ios, etc can be accessed and used for evidence acquisition. I find this tool to be very powerful and hope to learn it more and use it. My only concern is the fast pace of rapidly evolving phones always releasing.

Learning about mobile forensic is always very fun and so real time. Being able to investigate and analyse mobile devices successfully would be a great step in forensic analysis. No matter how careful you are as an attacker, personaly mobile devices carry mountains of data, and being able to get your hands on that is like a treasure hunter getting their hands on a treasure chest full of valuable things and sparkly things. The video was very educational. The questions were also very relevant.

This is a very informative video. Personally I had never heard of Santoku Linux before, but it sounds like most of the tools can run on other Linux distributions as well. Mobile phones and tablets can perform almost the same tasks as a computer today, and they can contain valuable evidence during an investigation. Learning mobile forensics is crucial for investigators to stay current with the latest technologies.
