    I thought it was interesting that the video made the distinction between the motivations of American and Chinese hackers. Given recent American hacks, i.e. Snowden, I tend to agree that American attacks are more about speaking out against the government rather than on behalf of it.

    Snowden was a SPIE. This is completely separate from what this video is discussing. The Chinese are attacking our country for intellectual property and hacking our banks for money. Our infrastructure is vulnerable and we are to reliant on technology. The only distinction I see is the Chinese are willing to exploit that weakness to assist in the rise of China as a world power. Their military flexes in the South China Sea based off the technology they stole from government contracting facilities. I would question if government would be the best to this issues.
