it's true that the Chinese hackers are one of the most sophisticated hackers in the world,their is doubt about them attacking the US community.it has been proven in many cases but they will not say it out loud.

In reference to dosmiller's comment I don't think that necessarily true that you can't fully trust someone because they've committed a crime. Someones it maybe someone who is young or just learning and they don't fully understand that whey they are doing is actually hacking. That being said it is ironic those best able to to find evidence of criminal activity are those that have the knowledge of exactly how its done.

I'd say also that a lot of the hacking that is allegedly sponsored by the Chinese government is to support Chinese industries. For instance, many companies have accused China of hacking into their systems and stealing some of their Research and Development into the products that they are developing. These plans are then given to Chinese companies. It's a bit of mercantilism that's at work, in which the state sponsors these hacking initiatives in order to benefit it's industries. I honestly think you could also accuse the NSA of doing the same thing, such as spying on Brazil or Mexican oil companies, as we now know from the Snowden documents. Cyber warfare really is a slippery slope that has some rather dangerous implications if not used carefully.

Wan Tao (aka Eagle) and others are trying to make themselves known and calling it growing pride in nationalism, really? Why can’t we call it as it is, hacking. There are Black-hat hackers out there, but there are also Grey and White-hat hackers as well. China and everywhere else in the world have all three major categories, and each has its own beliefs and causes for hacking. The main difference is that most countries hire the Black-hat hackers and turn them into white-hat hackers, while the U.S. Government typically only hires White-hat hackers and a few Black-hat hackers to begin with. This puts the U.S. behind the power curve in essence, and therefore does not boasts the most advanced means of protecting America’s information. How many security breaches has the government had over the last 5 years? What about the breach into the Department of Defense where thousands of Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, and Navy member’s information was obtained? When is the government going to learn that some of the best defense mechanisms, are not where they have been looking? I find it rather disturbing that many mothers, fathers, sons and daughters are dying so we can have freedom, yet the Government does a poor job at protecting their data and personally identifiable information because we are so busy worrying about who hacked us, when we should be trying to emulate the ones who hacked us. That’s is my five cents for the day.
